Taken at Bruntingthorpe Airfield, Leicestershire, where the Lightning Preservation Group held its 25th anniversary and performed a two BAC Lightning F6 scramble as it would have happened on numerous occasions when the 'Cold War' was on. This is really a series of images depicting the scramble and memories of a great day out in glorious weather apart from when both planes did their re-heat runs 30 feet from the crowd and the heavens opened for about two minutes. Other fast jets also taxied for photograph shots.
